Creating a Vision Board is a fun and inspiring way to visualize your goals and dreams, whether they are related to your studies, the academic year, or life in general. This is a personal project with no right or wrong answers – the only important thing is what you want to achieve. Approach it with a creative mindset and dream big!

1. How to get started?

  • Find images and words that inspire you and reflect your dreams. The images don’t need to be perfect – what matters is that they evoke feelings and motivation.
  • Reflect on:
    • What do you want to do and experience during your studies?
    • Where would you like to travel or what experiences would you like to have?
    • What things are important to you? (Health, friends, personal growth, etc.)

Tip: You can use magazine cutouts, images from the internet, or draw your own. You can make your vision board by hand or use digital tools like Canva or Pinterest.

2. Why create a vision board?

  • Clarify your goals: A vision board helps you create a tangible representation of what you want to achieve in your studies and in life. It can help you refine both long-term dreams and short-term objectives.
  • Motivate yourself daily: Your vision board will serve as a reminder of your goals. It will inspire you to stay focused on your journey, even when the path seems challenging.

3. From vision to reality

  • When thinking about the future, you may come up with visions that seem impossible to achieve right now. But this is where the power of a vision board comes in! It opens you up to all the possibilities that your studies may lead to, even if they seem far off or unlikely.
  • Just by creating the vision board, you are already one step closer to making your dreams come true. It is the beginning of your journey and a reminder that dreams are possible – as long as you take that first step.

4. Define your goals

  • Creating a vision board isn’t just about dreaming; it’s also about setting clear goals. Define what you want to achieve during your studies and when you aim to reach it. What are your targets and what steps will help you get there?

Tip: Keep your vision board in a visible place, like on your desk or study area, so you can remind yourself daily of your dreams. It acts as a "visual reminder" of why you’re working hard.

Help with writing

Help with writing your study work - available for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students at SAMK, regardless of the degree programme: e.g. referencing info, writing meetings and question hours. Even if you are not at the thesis phase yet, you can benefit from many of these. You don't need to be stuck in anything particular, either, to try these.
