Are you our new group fitness instructor?
We are looking for new instructors to our group fitness team and are primarily seeking Pilates instructors for Pori and Rauma for the fall 2026 season.
We are also looking for a Dance class instructor for Rauma.
Of course, you are also welcome to suggest other types of classes that interest you!
Group fitness means, for example, leading Yoga or Strength training classes. The instructor’s tasks include planning and leading classes as agreed upon throughout the semester. The recruitment process includes an interview and a demo class.
Experience of instructing is considered an advantage, but we also consider applications from new instructors. If you do not have earlier experience of instructing, we hope that you have experience participating in group fitness classes as a client.
You can also apply to be a group exercise instructor even if you are not a university student or staff member—in other words, you do not need to be affiliated with the university.
We expect you to:
- Have a desire to encourage and inspire others to exercise.
- Understand the needs of different types of exercisers.
- Be able to plan and lead engaging classes.
- Have good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- The opportunity to develop your coaching skills and gain work experience.
- An inspiring and supportive community.
- The opportunity to contribute to the development of university sports.
- An hourly payment based on your instructing experience and training (starting at 20.23€/class)
